When I Was Just a Boy

When I was younger something that I really wanted was an Xbox 360. I wanted this system so bad because my brother had one and I thought it was the coolest thing I have ever seen. I was used to playing my GameCube so the graphics did not even compare. In my the Xbox 360 had the best graphics i have ever seen before. I worked really hard to get this system, I mowed lawns, shoveled driveways, and raked leaves. I slowly got the money, it took a while to get about $250. But on Christmas five years ago, my father bought me a Xbox 360. I was really excited when I got the system. The first game I got was Gears of War 2. I was happy I got the system, but it felt good earning the money for myself. With the money that I saved up I used on video games and a rechargeable battery pack for my controller.

My Privilege

A privilege that I earned was being able to play any kind of video games I want to play. I got this privilege because my mother and father figured that I am a mature so I can play the games that I want to. Another thing that my parents thought about my grades. My parents figure since I get good grades so I deserve some kind of privilege. I also know when it is time to play video games and when to study. They also figure that I am not going to go out in the streets stealing cars and beating  people up. My family does not put restrictions on when and what time I play video games, because I am at the age where I know what right and wrong is. This is a privilege I enjoy having because it makes me feel mature and like my parents trust me.
